I reiterate:

Not long now.......... :D (next week perhaps)

I know what to expect once it happens, been there before............

"This update sucks, I am leaving"

"This is crap, bring back the old website"

"Ally you are a balloon"

"whoever designed this needs a slap"

"are you feckin kidding me!!"

Heard it all before............. then after a few months it all goes quiet and we start getting.........

"you know what?!, this is a lot better!"

Why am I rambling? because I know what to expect and I'm starting to suggest...(on the build up)

"learn it slowly"

"take your time"

"change is inevitable"

"you will come to see I was right"

"Don't shout too loudly, I'm human also"

Looking good, and although mobile may be more restrictive, it's fair to say that most people access most web sites via mobile now so it is important, so that's a good move to make it more mobile-responsive too! Good luck with the data migration though...

Been having a play with the new forum software. It took very little time for me to adjust to it, seconds actually to find my way about it. But I can foresee a few people having difficulty with it to begin with.

We are only days away now and I am trying to give you all as much notice as possible.

I'll announce it well within time and once you see it, give yourself time to adjust, it is a huge change. But the basic principles of how things work are the same.

Just trying to prepare you all ;)

Instead of the yellow star, there is now a nice bell graphic, telling you how many posts are new and you just click the bell to see them.

Also think we can lose the Portal - but you'll see what i mean very soon ;)

I am waiting myself.

Software is already to go but there is some technical and licensing stuff that is still being programmed.

Next week fingers crossed!

You will log on one morning and it will all be different, I'll shut up now as I must be boring you all.

We await the change.
Cold sweats are now the norm, worry has become a way of life.
While the world worries about mere things like Trump & Brexit..... things of no importance, .... we the great unwashed motorhoming fraternity await the second coming of Motorhomecraic !
Sleepless nights leads to early mornings and a sweaty finger leads to a press of the button on the iPads......... NOTHING !... still the same, a sigh of relief for today while the trepidation that one day, maybe tomorrow the screen of doom awaits !......
A well, another sleepless night ......... where's my blood pressure tablets !

Some things are going to vanish temporarily.

So, for instance if you rely on the Portal - it will vanish very soon. Certain other addons will also vanish, Gallery, My Garage, Reviews etc

MHC will be stripped back to a standard forum for its upcoming update.

I don't think we will need the Portal after its upgraded - you will see what I mean when it happens.

The first post on this topic was 24.04.2015 - so I have been waiting a while, I knew it was a major update which would require months and months of work, just didn't think it would take this long. But it is here now and I love it :)
