Motorhomecraic works well on all mobile devices but isn't fully "responsive" (the term used for mobile friendly designs), I have been speaking to the software developers about this and it has turned into a large poll of other website owners who use the same software.

Google has started changing it's criteria for searches. Websites that are optimized for mobile devices will be at the top of the list in searches.

Websites are changing as devices change, Tablets and phones are starting to overtake PC's, I think it is a backwards step but that is how it is heading and we must keep up with technology.

I'll not bore you with all the technical details, but Motorhomecraic will be upgraded to a fully responsive website in 2015, probably around the Autumn time. There is a hell of a lot of work in this and it will take some time.

We will have further issues with our unique campsite review addon software which was designed specifically for Motorhomecraic, but I am assured that all data will be saved and it can be changed to work with the new design.

I'll post updates throughout the year as I get them.

The end result will be a massive boost for Motorhomecraic, will help all of you that use Tablets or phones to view Motorhomecraic and will keep us at the top of search engines where we currently are.

It works well on a tablet, but is very hard to read on a phone and thats both android and apple platforms. I would take a backup of the review data before the developers work on it, just in case.

Latest news on update:

I got the dates mixed up in translating from German to English, it will be the Autumn before a release date is made but we will get some screen shots etc in the Summer. Fingers crossed release may be sooner.

This is a massive update and the work needed is enormous, basically a lot of it is starting from scratch again. There will be some nice surprises in there which are at the minute closely guarded secrets, they will probably appeal to the more Nerdy amongst us more than others but everyone will see a great benefit in how the forum works and the new enhancements which will become possible.

With it being released in the Autumn it gives everyone time to get used to it over the winter ;)

Seen a video of the new ACP (administration control panel), it is amazing, the ACP is the bulk of the work so shouldn't be to much longer for the release. This is really going to change things and the developers are quoting it as a forum software revolution, I think they are right¬!!
