Well, I bought a C O alarm. Can't understand why a company like Hobby don't fit them as standard. Wondering if it's legal to sell any kind of residence without them in 2014?

Good point. All new houses must have a Co2 Alarm fitted, why not all new Motorhomes?

Yeah I understand what you're saying. I've one fitted for the past four years and wouldn't be without one even though I get the van checked every year with Simon at LTS.

And following on from advice received from fellow Craicers, I bought a silver screens today. At least it arrived in the post today, can't wait to try it out in Tollymore this w/e. We're going to have a night in Newcastle tomorrow, is the big car park at the Slieve Donard hotel best? And, do we put the silver screen up while wilding in a car park?

For Newcastle see here: forum/topic.php?t=7288

I would say most if not all use them whilst parked, no matter where they are.

Motorbike rack for my new Motorbike arriving next week :)

Remembered a conversation from over a year ago that someone was selling a Motorbike rack/carrier and they still had it.

It tilts to allow the bike to go on, very handy.

Cant wait to see that, what weight will it take as it could encourage me to do something about the bike sitting gathering cobwebs.

Was going to be just a matter of time before I spilled a cuppa down the back of the lounge seat.

I can confirm it works with a wine glass just as well as a tea-cup!

Well... where do I begin?? LOL

I'm a gadget oriented type of guy and I've done a lot of outdorsy stuff over the years, so I know how much easier your life could be if you only had "that thing".

So, since this is my very first campervan and after loosing a lot of stuff in my travels in the recent years I bought quite a few things to get ourselves going... gadget-wise:

Power inverter with 4 USB ports
Camping Waterproof LED light with a huge battery that can also charge phone/tablet
Digital Tyre inflator (a small little thing but mighty)
New Bluetooth Stereo and some decent speakers
A toolkit to have on board at all times (ultra handy)
A battery powered electric shower for outdoor use. We spend a lot of time at the beach and it's the best invention ever!! Drop it in a bucket of water and presto!

I think that's pretty much it for now, of course, add all the cutlery, first aid kit, tyre repair kit, etc, etc... even some new curtins :D

Cheers,
Rami

Well, that was fun!

Currently parked across the road from McBrides in Cushendun. Just had a great meal. Wife and kids did a last visit to the loo. My 11 year old daughter needs a No2 half an hour later.

Did a run through the instructions and sent her into the little room.
Nope! Couldn't shift it, so Dad had to go in armed with a few glasses of water to dispatch the unwanted mess.

The joys of parenthood!

Haha! 😂
I wondered about those things.
All well and good with a lucid (supposidly) sober adult, different with a youngster. Isn’t a parents life great.!

But hey... no smell, which was my biggest worry.

I told her she is wearing my safety goggles and doing the "empty" tomorrow.

(Had an incident in Nagles in July.... splashback got me in the eye and mouth!)

Wish me luck!

hi Rami

That outdoor shower sounds very interesting. What does it look like and where did you get it. Nothing worse that kids coming back from the beach covered in sand. We have taken to putting the shower hose out the window but that doesnt always work well.

This is probably one of the simplest and cheapest "showers" for outdoor use. Use as is or replace the spray with a cheap shower head. If you only use clean water in it you can also use it to fill your water tank.
