A woman driving the new solution to the problem of wartime petrol rationing, the so-called "the midget car".

This tiny vehicle could cover eighty miles on a gallon of petrol and achieve speeds of up to 45 miles per hour.

The car was produced by the British Motorboat Manufacturing Company in London between 1934 and 1940. The company later changed its name to BMB Engineering. It is possible that some might have been assembled after 1945.
