Italy: 1622 are the areas listed by campingcar-infos.

Been thinking, dreaming for after Covid-19 of a tour for a few months. Maybe 2022
France > Italy > Greece > Bulgaria > Hungary > Austria > Germany. But I reckon a person would need the company of others for security, at least for eastern parts of the route.

Well as i said I have a travel plan almost ready for Bulgaria but i haven't been there yet.
However, I visited almost all the ex-Soviet bloc countries, Baltic republics, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Romania included.
I have never had security problems and have never felt in a situation of danger or even simple discomfort.

In some countries, it is possible to stay overnight at the parking lots of the motels and guest houses frequented by truckers at an affordable cost.
In any case, campsites are almost always cheaper than in Western Europe.
Obviously, good planning is needed, especially in countries like Romania and Bulgaria that are still not perfectly equipped.

If you register on https://www.motorhomeowners.org, among the users there is a Bulgarian motorhomer to whom you can ask for information.

Maybe time to start exploring Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania etc...

Italy:
I am Italian and I can help.
Greece:
I did the archaeological tour of the Peloponnese twice and I still have some information.
Romania:
I've been there for about a month, as above.
Bulgaria:
I have a trip plan almost ready but still being verified.

Feel free to ask for information

Bulgaria is a very nice country, I’ve been to it, the coastal areas of the black sea are very unspoilt and not very commercialised apart from the resorts
