Hi Ally, Sorry to bother you, but a query please.
I can sign in to subscribed area on home PC but not when I am using new iPad Air. Any views??

To be honest, I ain't got a clue, don't have one, never used one. But I see no reason why it should be any different than any other iPad unless someone knows different?

Does it sign in and then log you out? or will it not sign in at all?

Are you using auto fill on PC? May be not putting proper user name or leaving a space in pass word,

Try using a different browser on iPad air, try chrome

I'm using iPad (not air) at minute with Safari and no problems, a few more using pads aswell and I think they are ok

I use my iPad Air all the time on this site. You should have no problem. Just check that you are filling in the details correctly. In fact iPad is better in here.

I find if I am logged on with it open on my desktop and then try and log on with my Mac laptop it doesn't let me - worth a check?

Depends on your ip sometimes, if all devices are using the one connection well then yes in theory they will all connect.

Now and again I will switch on higher security when there is a spammer/hacker threat. What that does, it log all ip's, usernames, devices, browsers etc. In that scenario you will not be able to log in on more than one device at the same time. But all you need to do is log out of one and log into the other.

OK, Folks tks for suggestions. I just cannot log in on iPad Air. I rechecked password correctly input etc. Will follow up on other suggestions tomorrow. Tks again for efforts.

Hi Folks - Just an update. Checked out various suggestions but cannot find any reason for inability to log in via iPadAir. I suspect it might be as Ally said, its something to do with the security settings. My son is well up on these issues so I will get him- hopefully- to sort it out over the weekend. Anyway I am able to via the house PC so there is no real issue at present.

I have been thinking of doing the same but haven't made the jump for the same reason.

You get a lot of software free with a Mac and if it's not free it's much more reasonable that Microsoft. You will not regret taking the jump.

I have nothing of that value mark! But I do use photoshop as well as office and having bought them I don't want to spend again. On the pc there is a lot of good freeware out there, e.g. Open office and gimp( like Photoshop) but I don't know enough about macs to know if you can get stuff like that for free

No it's not an Apple product but it's not all that expensive. Us Apple purists would not use it but the less pure are happy to contaminate their Apple gear with Microsoft products. They work well I'll have a look when I get home how much they cost in a magazine.

There's no doubt the iPad is a great piece of kit. Indeed all Apple stuff is excellent and I've got a MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone all linked vis iCloud so everything is up to date.

Any luck? one thing you might try, use the "Delete cookies of this forum" option at the bottom of the website on ALL devices you use and then log in again.

I asked our IT guru here in work and he has just said the same, probably a cookie problem and if you delete them it should solve your problems also do a full reboot of the Ipad
