Heard on local station that overnight parking on pier in Donegal Town no longer allowed! Campervans allowed in car park but have to pay for two parking spaces during daytime hours. A local business has offered free parking but is not in town centre. Maybe they will change their mind!

Heard at the weekend that this was on the radio again a few days after the original broadcast saying that Motorhomers were welcome as long as they paid to park during the day.

Hi all,

Here is the reply from the Tourist Office.
Dear Mr. Moore

Yes, it is possible to park your motorhome overnight on the Quay in Donegal Town, however depending the size of your motorhome and the amount of car parking spaces used for your motorhome, parking tickets are priced at €0.30 per hour, per parking space from 09.00am-6.00pm.

If you require further information, please do not hestiate to contact our office.

Kindest Regards,

michelle mccauley

Great location - thanks

We stayed on the pier Friday night, checked it was OK with the tourist office and paid the odd hours between 9am and 6pm.

Yeah I was talking to some of the business folk in Donegal Town when I stayed there a few week ends ago for the Food Festival and they are delighted with the revenue motorhomes contribute to the local businesses.
