Is that the cost of a trip or a share in the boat ! It makes Carndonagh look cheap

I bought my motorhome in Spring, so cabin space was booked up on all the ferries for July this year.
I could only secure a cabin for August, so am away next week, motorhome towing a car. Out with Brittany @ 589 Euro and returning Stena @ 338 Sterling.

As you said JJF, almost double the price this year.

2018 coming in at the guts of 900 Euro each way. I really enjoy the experience of Brittany Ferries, but not at those prices.

Just been checking DFDS prices from Newhaven to Deipe ,going out August return October they were £230. This is 6 times a day and 4 times a day in winter. Oaps get a discount by apply direct to the booking office. Brittany Ferries were always a bit more expensive but not that much. One time they used to do Cork to Plymouth first and unload UK traffic and then France. I have always wondered why the Irish sea ferries are so expensive, they cant say its a small market any more.

Just booked Portsmouth - Bilbao and return for next July with dog friendly cabin. £1040 which I think is ok as saves driving through France. Plan is to drive into Portugal and back up coast. £40 deposit so can take the hit if we can't go. Our problem this year was that there were neither dog friendly cabins or kennels when we went to book for July and most of August

Interestingly on the French BF site, the same crossing is 200 cheaper than the Ireland France route.

We head out on 2nd September on Brittany Ferries with our 2 crazy collies...Yes its a bit more expensive than the other Ferry Companies but the facilitys for dogs on Brittany Ferries is worth the extra in our view.....If we didnt have dogs we would be on the cheaper Ferries...
