As the Kilkenny trip is now cancelled, how about the Battery Bar Cookstown on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th June

Travel there on Friday night & stay fri, sat, sun & mon nights.

So who is up for it? review of Battery Bar in the Pubs section.

Only a proposal at the minute to see what interest there is.

I would need to speak to Johneen but sounds good to me.

Any good photos of the place?

the one photo you put up makes it look like all vans are parked nose to tail rather than side by side.

Is it like this or is there a bigger area where we can be as a group?

Aye that photo was off Google Earth and it doesn't go far enough in. There is a large car park as well where we could park together.

Never took any pictures ourselves when we were there but around the corner from the pub is a massive tarmac car park that would easily hold 30 MH or more, there are picnic tables and a BBQ.
Its a very quiet stop over as the road is a dead end so no overnight traffic, however unless you have a boat and want to go out on the lough there are no walks or any thing to keep you occupied during the day, nearest decent town is 11 miles. Perfect if you want a night away with a cracking bar, Paddy is a character and likes his Baileys along with the Corrs and makes everyone welcome.
Chippie rocks one of the best about, well worth trying, don't think we would spend more than 2 nights there in a row though.

I am not confirming anything for now.
Things are a bit up in the air for me at the moment so I don't want to commit to anything.
I will leave it for the rest of you to see who is going where.

Might take run over to see the place at some stage.
