As the title suggests, I'm considering bringing the family to Tipperary for the Easter weekend. Any reviews or opinions on the glen of aherlow campsite? Seems nice for a 2 night stopover.

Look in the review section Bertie,

Lovely spot but not a lot for kids,

Ballinacourty house a few miles over the road would suite kids better in my book,

I don't think he can see the reviews, John as he is not a subscribed member!
I have to agree with John there is not a lot for kids except walking or hill climbing but it is a lovely site and George will make you very welcome.
Ballinacourty is also a lovely site with a resteraunt that serves beautiful food. We went there for a meal on Mother's Day and the site was closed.

There's another good reason to become a subscribed member,

Ballinacourty is a nice spot and as you say the food is good,

Also when we were there a few years back you could order your fresh brown soda the night before and pick it up in the morning still hot :-)

GLEN OF AHERLOW

Hi Bertie

We have stayed there a couple of times and it is a lovely campsite with fabulous views, weather permitting, of the mountains.

Campsite facilities are spotless and the owners are extremely helpful. There is a lovely pub just a short walk from the campsite.

I would recommend it as a place to go.

Have fun and enjoy
