Solars fitted at uk shows

We had a solar panel fitted at the Malvern show by a company from the south of England. After we came home the batteries went flat very quickly. We went to three places at home to try to solve the problem. Including two motorhome specialists and a local car electric firm. We told them all we suspected the solar might be the problem. They tested the batteries and solar which seemed fine. After a lot of unnecessary work had been carried out it turned out that there it was due to a batch of faulty solar parts. It had frazzled (non tech term) the batteries which we also had to replace. When I spoke to the solar firm they said because the work wasn't carried out under their direction they wouldn't cover the costs. Fair enough I suppose. They replaced the faulty part but didn't even cover the cost of fitting it. MORAL OF THE STORY.....BUY LOCAL. We couldn't go back and forth on the ferry to have this sorted. It has cost us nearly £1000 to find that out!!!!! 🇧🇭

Oh dear sorry to hear that. Glad you got it sorted in the end though.
