For those of you in to your tunage this is a cracking weekend.

It's a really small friendly festival with all the facilities you'd expect only without the queues.

This is only it's 3rd year and the last 2 were highlights of the year for us.

If any of you are going let me know and we can hook up there.

http://www.vantastival.com

Early bird tickets are still on sale for €70 all in.

No extra tickets required for your van.

That's a shame but even at €89 it's still a bargain for what your getting.

If you're into your festivals Ally this is one not to be missed.

They don't have the same headline acts as some of the bigger ones but the music is always
great and you can get right up close and personal with the acts both on and off stage :D

Sure if there was enough people going from here it could become a mini MHC meet !!

Festivals are the reason I bought a MH in the first place :)

We are going, going to book tickets today or tomorrow so I will see you there:)

Looks a lot like another we attend Solfest - doing it again this year.

Thanks for posting!

Same reason we bought the VW.

Had great plans to do all the European festivals but the old girl drank petrol and wasn't overly reliable so we never got further then the UK. That's changed now though

I like the look of Solfest, will have to mark that in for next year maybe.

We were hoping to get to the Isle of Wight this year but Campervan tickets are sold out :(

Look forward to having a beer with you in May :D

Isle of Wight I never fancied much, very expensive and commercialised, I like the ones you can bring your own beer in. :D for affordability more than anything else. We do Glasto every year, been going every year since 1999.

Only really started doing the smaller ones the last few years and we have as much fun at them as the big ones.

Do you use efestivals.co.uk? usually find campervan tickets on there for sale, I have always managed to pick one up at face value.

Look forward to the beer

I'll check that out. Cheers.

I know what you mean about the commercialism, I suppose IoW is one i've always wanted to visit.

Super line up this year too !!

Look forward to hearing the headline acts for Vantastival now.

Must be gettin old Ally :P

TBH I recognise a few of them but wouldn't know their stuff but like you say..it's not the point.

Once the vibe is good everything else falls into place and i know i'll walk away smiling from a few memorable gigs.

Don't know what tunes your into but if you like American Blugrass / Folk check out Gypsy Rebel Rabble.

I stumbled accross them when they opened the main stage last year. Amazing gig and they're playing all
over the place now.

Can't wait for this weekend :D

No. Just checked his topics but i don't see it. Definatley interested though :-)

On a side note there's an excellent Americana and Roots festival on in my hometown on the August bank holiday every year.

A very chilled weekend with some serious acts, many of them come over from the States just for this.

Greystones Americana and Roots Festival

I know the organisers so if people are interested i'm happy to organise camping spots for the vans.

Best EP lineup for years :D

We weren't planning on going but there's no way we could miss it.

Camper van ticket bought already

And Welcome back Bronagh...was gone for a bit myself.

We should try sort it so we can all park near eachother at Vantastival

Mates of ours are coming in their T25. She just had a baby last weekend. Brave.

We won't be allowed park with the rest of the gang this year in the Transit.

They have a special VW area this year :'(

While alcohol will be allowed in the festival arena, bottles and cans will not be allowed in our stage marquees. Disposable cups will not be allowed as they create unnecessary waste. Liquid transferred to open cups will be allowed.

Let's just say I can't see myself wandering away from the main stage too often especially on Sunday.

No doubt you'd come accross a few gems wandering around though.

MT Cranium's latest forecast from Monday on....

He's usually on the button.

Could we be in for 3rd year in a row with good weather 8-)

OUTLOOK ... A more settled period should follow, milder air will slowly work west across Britain but a cooler pool remaining near Ireland and Biscay will perhaps interact with this to produce cloud and some drizzle rather than any strong warming trend, at least for a while, but there could be some slight warming later in the week (to about 14-17 C). Nights may remain rather chilly. Fog is likely to be part of the picture too.
