For those with kids and want hook up for the TV for an hours peace and quite before bed time I think sites have a place.
The playground and a safe place for them to cycle around makes it a definite for me while I cook the dinner otherwise I go mad.
I know for those who travel without children don't need the sites but for some they are great.
Thanks for posting Paddy!

P.S why are my smilies not working????

Ah to be honest I don't really mind going back to work. 1. I am glad to have a job 2. I am glad that I enjoy what I do and 3. It means I can pay to keep the MH on the road and pay all the bills.

I do enjoy my holidays and look forward to each and every weekend though.

That's good when we are happy what we do. That's why I find it so difficult to give up the hospital chaplaincy for good. I meet some wonderful people who are in so difficult situations that I am not in and hopefully I bring them some comfort and help. As I say to them we are all precious to God and we tend to hit ourselves with a big stick and are harder on ourselves than He is.

We discovered recently that this site will allow you to dump toilet waste and take on water as you pass through for 3€50. You can also dump grey water though they have no grid for this and it's a case of driving into the long grass.

We spent a couple of nights there last year. It was "alright".

The faciltiies were fine. Showers were a bit strange. They were individual shower cubicles, with shower curtains, but no hooks outside them to hang your towel, and the only hooks were the other side of the room.

On the site is an astro-turf pitch with one of those big metal grid fences around it. It seemed to be popular with the locals as a lot of cars arrived, people used the pitch & the shower room, and then left. I guess that explains the strange showers !

Only annoyance I had was the small children on the playground at 10:30/11:00 pm. It was quite dark & the kids were squealing while they played and fought, as kids do. Call me Victor, but I do like some quiet time at night. It was so noisy, if there had been someone to complain to in reception, then I would have. (Reception closed around 6:30 or so)

To finish on a plus side, there were nice level tarmac pitches each with power, water & waste drains. The grounds were well kept. There was a lovely welcome. The chemical loo point was clean.

Ater all that, I would consider going back.
