Hi, we are heading North in our RV in 2 weeks and are looking for somewhere to stay for 3 nights near Newry. Going to need to empty tanks at some point and the sites I have contacted dont have full service points . Can anyone suggest iether an aire or site nearby we can stop at with facilities?

thanks Bob

If you need to empty or park up you are welcome in our yard, we are about 10 miles from Newry on the Armagh side.
Just after Gosford Forest Park. If you don't feel you want to park in our yard no worries you can still empty here & get fresh water :)
Have you tried Gosford?
NB we leave next weekend so we wouldn't even be here! My parents live beside us so no worries getting you access to a tap etc
Just PM me if I can be of any help

As has been said, Kilbroney has fully serviced pitches and can accomodate an RV (we have one), just make sure you use the back entrance and swing wide to avoid the trees. Good luck.

Hi

Many thanks for all your suggestions, and Hunters the offer of your yard was much appreciated, but we are going to try and empty black tank in Dublin or the loo will be off limits in Co Down - mind with my bladder, the thought of trotting across a field with a torch at 2 in the morning !

Couldn't get into Kilbroney as full, but managed to get into Chestnut Park at Kilkeel for 3 nights before heading up to Bushmills.

Thanks again for the reply's

Watch the roads to Chestnut Campsite as its a tight turn off the Kilkeel to Rostrevor Road

Chestnuts facilities are good, you might not fit into the front site with a sea view but they have a large grass area on the RHS as you approach Cranfield that they also use for parking caravans & motor homes.
It is a very busy & big site, with lots of play parks for kids to enjoy & the sea & beach of course.
Did you check Gosford Forest Park?
Lovely walks etc & you are very close to town. Cranfield is a few miles out of Kilkeel (4/5 miles).
Enjoy!! & offer still available if you need anything!
