I'm thinking out loud.... typing out loud?

The kids have grown up and don't spend any MH time with us. On the rare occasion that they do they could bring a tent.

Mates go with me to music festivals 2- 3 times a year, but they could sleep in an awning or tent beside us.

Should I just get a two Berth?

Some lovely Campervans, handy to park, less height restrictions, easier on the juice.

Feel free to add your thoughts to my thoughts :)

We bought a traditional coachbuilt autosleeper on a Mk6 transit base. I drive Transits (all marks) nearly everyday and like them.

We were caravanners so opted for a normal U shaped lounge which makes a huge double bed.

Deliberately got 2 berth as it was bright spacious and airey. Lots of the multiberth versions with dinettes and different level floors seem cramped. The front overhead locker (luton) is great for the bedding.

We have three huge widows at the back which probably swayed us.

The big factor was, when we stepped into it, it felt right!

I need a toilet and shower in a van for Music Festivals.

Not to easy to find in a campervan.

I think Rob has hit it on the head there. You need to suit your needs first.
Catering for others makes it more difficult. If you are planning on taking friends or kids but not having a bed for them you may restrict the locations you can stop.
Wilding in a carpark may draw unwanted attention if you put a tent up.

We have always gone for layouts which suit us and what we do at the time of purchase.
