Do many of you pick up Astra 28.2 for the UK channels while in Continental Europe? If so, what do you use. I received it last year in the very north of France, couldn't get it at all this year. Mine's a flat square dish, 50cm each side.
I use a 1.8m dish, but its fixed to the wall of my house in southern Catalonia. There has been a lot of discussion on other sites about this as the stations are starting to move to a new satellite with a smaller footprint which will make it harder to receive on the types of dishes used on Motorhomes and caravans.
If that is the case it will not bother me as it is generally only used for Emmerdale or Coronation Street when we are in France.
Someone else in the van might not be so impressed.

Have 85cm auto sat system have used it all over Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland No Problems So Far it just seems to take a little longer to find a signal in South Spain and South of Italy but always finds 28.2 Astra.
The fat controller is correct, the uk satellite footprints are expected to tighten up, thereby making reception much more difficult, it is expected to happen around October, but best wait and see.
