Just wondering if the cab TV can double-up as a satnav?

not sure John, wouldn't think so, as all the 12v and the media system shuts down automatically once you start the van.

il throw in the new TomTom Go Live Camper & Caravan Europe if you want it!!

cheers

Following on from another thread about importing, I think it's whatever the revenue commissioners make up on the day.

John and Ken I am aware of that! Just wondered did any body import something similar? I am too lazy to get 13.3% of the average price of similar vans retailing in the south which should be near the mark. If anybody imported a van recently it would be interesting to know the process and how you were treated.

Pat i dont think too many are importing vans now since the VRT went from 50e to 13.5%,I think its cheaper to buy an Irish registered van,a lot of left hand vans were imported from Germany when the VRT was only 50e on vans less then 3.5 tons, but that changed in Jan 2012 ( i think)

You are not thinking of changing are you :fgrin:

I have to agree Ken, I think Motorhomes are cheaper here than imported ones even before the VRT is added, Just the choice is a bit limited if you are looking for a specific model. Modern LHD's will be scarce do which is a pity as I like the LHD.
