We stayed at Singing Pub on sun night, had a really delicious meal, a few drinks and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. We weren't charged for parking overnight but were told if you use EHU there would be a small fee. Also ,there was live music on sat night and in the season there would be entertainment on frid, sat & sun. If your in the area it would be well worth a visit to this lovely, cosy, thatched pub.

Love The Downings, love The Singing Pub, absolutely thrilled you can overnight in MH. Anytime we go up there the sun is splitting the rocks. Fab part of the country and terrific golf too

No we didn't stop in Downings as we didn't have loads of time and wanted to make sure we could definetly stay at the Singing Pub for the night. The views on the way were stunning even though the weather was awful. Would love to go back in the summer and spend more time in the area.

Hi, we are off on Monday on a 25 day trip, yeeehaa! Going to start at the Singing pub. Is the parking at the back? I looked on google maps and couldn't see the parking area except a rough lay by at the front. Then heading along part of the wild Atlantic way turning in at Limerick and coming up the Shannon waterways to Lough Erne, taking in some festivals along the way. Can't wait!

Thanks
Re France, no we haven't rejected it, but found the people hard work regards a bit of craic. Hard to beat the people of the Emerald Isle, no matter what the weather!
Thinking of Germany next year, seems MH friendly. Anyway, the singing pub it is, Monday night, Flans tour begins! :o :D 8-)

It's one of the best stopovers there is anywhere in Ireland.
Waste disposal, water, grey and black disposal and EHU if required.
The oly slight criticism is that the site slopes a lot to the top, even too much for ramps. OK for caravan with legs.
The pub itself is fantastic and the restaurant is simply outstanding with the best seafood dishes you can eat.
Wort a visit for sure.

I used suitably selected rocks from drain to put under ramps and all was good
