As long as they are 8 or 10 ply they should take the psi, the load index is what matters most.

Tried to find why the Airide is not holding its pressure. Over last few months it has got progressively worse and now just about holds pressure for a journey. Anyone know where around Kildare I could get this checked and hopefully repaired?

I'd say if you ring any local truck repair shop they would be familiar with airbags on trucks and trailers,

I think o sheas are near naas and from what I have heard they are a very good bunch and obliging also,

I have no connection by the way

Have you tried the "Soapy water in a spray bottle" trick trying to find your leak?

We had a similar problem with the air bags on ours. The passenger side was leaking quite badly, but I was able to find the leak pretty quickly using soapy water... I had to replace one of those schrader valve thingy's that lets you pump air into the bags. The tube connection at the back of the schrader valve was damaged.

Thanks Blag. Need to raise the van to get a good look. Will try soapy water again as I couldn't get in around both bags.

get your hands on some traffic film remover and dilute it to the proper concentration and brush onto said flies and give it 5 minutes to soften the little buggers and hey presto, :-) :-)

make sure you don't let it dry in as i dont know the consequences (thank god for auto correct) o.O

Be careful with TFR. It can cause marks to paintwork if not used correctly.

If TFR is allowed to run onto dry paintwork it has an etch quality which can be irreversible.

For bug & grease removal on the bikes, I use Cif Power cream. It is almost as good as muc-off and the flies & grime wipe away effortlessly. No adverse reaction to paint, plastic or chrome in my case, but to be safe, you'd want to check any cleaning product on an inconspicuous area first to make sure it doesn't hurt YOUR paint or plastic before going all out on a cleaning rampage...

Just cleaned my roof.

Glad I was up there, I had parked the van on what I thought was a slight slope, so the water ran of the front. I couldn't of parked it any more level if I had tried :D

Garages whilst they are handy they are a disaster. Mine is so full I don't know what I have in it. I'll just take it in case I need it and then when I want something its in the garage in the motorhome at Shanogue CL and I'm in Killyleagh. Yesterday I needed my tool box to put up curtains for Liz and you've guessed it - the tool box was in the motorhome - thankfully. It got me off the hook and I didn't have to do it. Unfortunately Ive got my orders to pick it up.

Yeah I empty mine periodically, all that extra weight not good. Have also started reorganising the van so I have less weight at the back and spreading it throughout the van, we tend to just throw everything in the garage.

I had a spring clean of my van on Thursday evening to get rid of all the stuff carried all year to band contests, eg 26 pairs of shoes, wellingtons, slippers, and band shoes. towels by the dozen, coats, jumpers you name it. The Motorhome has gained approx 4ins in height since it happened. Thinking of changing it shortly as I have a customer interested in it so the springclean may not be in vain hopefully.
