fitted set of mirrorguards(white) after a tosser hit my drivers mirror in Doolin last week. mine suffered cracks to the main body but i hope his is in bits as he didnt even slow down after he hit me. i had pulled right over and he just hammered on through.

guards very easy to fit and look well.
best price i could get was 109 delivered from Spinney.

A LOT brighter than the original, it is longer than the original so hides the old screw holes, I used one original fixing hole on the right and sealed the rest that were from the old light. Only two screws required.

Ring RDLS for a price.

Well as I didn't get the motorhome back until Friday afternoon and the weather forecast for the NW200 I made the decision not to go up, so I fitted the frosted window film onto the bathroom window then demolished the bed to investigate why I wasn't getting any heat at the front of the van and found that all four air ducts had come off the truma heater, so a bit of fiddling and I think I have got them to stay in and now have heat coming through all of the vents, just in time for the summer  so everything has now been put back to normal and am ready for the road, again

Thos blessed ducts are a pest. Ive got the same problem in my Adria Vision. I think its with using them that they tend to shrink back a little. Would be interested in hearing over the next few months how you've fared cause I haven't done too well.

I re-routed them as they all seemed to be too short for the point they entered the heater, I changed the entry point each one went to and they seem to be staying in place at the moment. I tried but couldn't get the plastic collars out of the heater, if this doesn't work then I think I will try to glue them into place but I will need some sort of heat resisting and flexible adhesive to do that. Why they were not fixed into the collars by glue/screws I just don't know as it would save a lot of problems down the road for owners.

If you take a trip to a plumbers suppliers you will get a tube of heat resistance silicone that plumbers use for the flue where it connects onto the boiler. It is good stuff as I have used it on my central heating boiler. It is a bit smelly at first when the heat hits it but when it burns in , no problem.

Hope to meet some other members whilst we are over.
By the way discovered that Cheap coke is great for getting algae off the van (Found some in the grooves in the Fiamma awning) and didn't have any "proper stuff"

Got a bucket of water to wash the dead bugs of the windscreen but that is as far as I got. Too sunny to do anything but sit. Went for a coffee at the marina instead.

Funny, I did that last week, the best value in camper tyres appears to be the continental vanco camper which were around £30 per tyre cheaper than the Michelin ones, but availability seems to be a problem on all camper tyres. Quality van tyres however can be nearly half the price of the Michelin campers.

I need to find a VAN tyre that takes 80PSI, they must make them as the Ducato Maxi that I have is 80PSI whether it's a Motorhome or a Van. (I think)

Personally I would have no issue's using ordinary van tyres.

A tyre that gets lots of praise from people are Toyo HO8 (or HO9 if you want winter tyres. Good for grass and mud)

http://www.tyresafe.org/tyre-s…otor-homes

Have a look at this site. Great tables on tyres required for a given axle load which is a big factor in purchasing tyres.

However you may not need to go to 80 psi. Once you have your axle loads worked out (visit a DIY DOE weighbridge) then look at the table and see

what psi you actually need. My van says 80psi but I run on 45 psi front and 60 psi rear. much more comfortable ride.

The received wisdom is that motorhomes run fully loaded 100% of the time whereas Vans have varying loadings (daily, weekly, monthly)

Many people use van tyres or light commercials quite legaly. Axle load is the important feature in purchasing tyres. This is what determines pass or fail and of course condition.

Thanks Davy.

I have not played around with the pressures, but I know once I realised that they needed 80PSi, my fuel economy was a lot better and handling very much improved so a bit reluctant to go any lower.

Although I have developed quite a few rattles :)
