Fitted a set of Fiat mudflaps on the front. Went through a couple of road works lately and the van got destroyed with mud. They seemed to keep if cleaner over the weekend.

Well finally sorted my tank. Not being ultra mobile these days have been putting off but as said now sorted. On my 2015 Europa the water tanks are under slung and well insulated for winter use well, the grey water tank at the front and directly behind the exhaust pipe, with a small hot gas deflector well it does not work, the insulation rapping damage was not caused by contact but by heat and this had melted the covering and also distorted the bottom of the tank. So I used 3mm ply with the added heat protection of some sheet galvanised covering (As I am a hoarder I found it in my garage think it was once the casing for a dishwasher or something) for about half the length, dropped the cage and slid it in place. as they say where I was born "Jobs a gudun"

Jobs a gudun but I was kn'./'ked for 2 days, laying on yer back under the van is not for a someone with a worn out torso like mine

Our Adria had a similar ladder,
I used 3/4" pipe insulation then used 1" over that wrapped in silage tape that was got in local agri store,
Did the job.nicely and was easy on the feet

Tidy job you did on that ladder

WATCH OUT.
Took mine to the CVRT last week (it passed) but the GVW got changed 😳 it went in at 3,850kg and the new Cert says 3,500kg.
Now in the middle of trying to sort the mess.
How far has the error travelled, has it corrupted the National Vehicle and Driver File or/and the Garda Mobility App which they use to check the status of vehicles and drivers.
If I was weight checked would I get done for overloading as I recon I'm about 3,750kg at the moment.
A mess for sure 🙄

A stark reminder for people to check the paperwork after getting a test done,

Not everybody checks the paperwork only throw it in the file til next time,

Well spotted Colin 👍🏼

I could and maybe sort it out with an English speaking Garda but things could be a whole lot different with a French or German policeman/woman who's looking at conflicting Irish official legal documents.

so long as they don't expect you to have a certified french translation of the document, like thy expect you to have here, when you present your French / German van for inspection.😤

It's a pity they don't know the code fields are an EU standard format for the very reason to facilitate officials understanding of 'foreign' documents. For example the code field (F.1) is Gross Vehicle Weight on all EU Vehicle Registration Certificates as does for example (S.1) indicate the number of certified belted travel seats.

A friend with a Rapido on the FIAT Camper Chassis has a flecked up Registration Cert too. His Rapido documents and VIN plate say 3,500kg (which is what he ordered) but the FIAT VIN plate which shows 3,650kg was taken as the one to be recorded.
It's the plate of the final stage of build (Rapido) is the legal one, earlier plates are to be ignored but must be left in place for the record. The same goes for uprate or downrate plates from the likes of SVTech.

That's the way it should be but somebody dropped the ball when my friend's was being registered and he now has the FIAT GVW (3,650kg) on the Registration Certificate.
You wouldn't believe the hoops he is being put through to get the mistake corrected.

A mess for sure 🙄

Mine was down as 3650kg I got in touch with a Mary o Sullivan in Wexford gave her the reg number and she told me to send her the log book and she would get it sorted because it was a mistake on their end got the new log book back and all's well

That's what happened to ours but It was just a few phone calls and I got sorted lucky enough 🙏

Go with what works for you Dave 👍.... I personally love my Tridents....yes they are massive feckin yokes!

Ps..... could've given you a new set of Fiamma ones had I known 🤔

Ah jaysus. I’ll keep the the tridents in the boot just in case, this van doesn’t have air suspension, doesn’t need it for comfort in fairness, so might be a call for them somewhere
