Cut the purple wire (see how to sort out a contestant running headlight adjustment motor ) no more noise ,but I can still adjust the headlights it can be done with a screwdriver

On my 1997 Ford transit turbo, I converted the electronic fly by wire fuel pump to a manual bosch pump from a non turbo, but adjusted the pump to suit, eleminated a troublesome immobiliser, no more engine light, no more egr valve, no more electrictronics,
More power, less gear changes on hills, no smoke, slightly louder, but happy with the result,
Also fitted a new rad and replaced the fan bearings,

Not today, but yesterday. Getting the new van ready for NYE.

Couldn't get hot water, it's now steaming hot

Couldn't get fridge to work on gas, removed the cover around the important bits and blasted with an airline. It fired up perfectly and has now been running for over 24 hours.

Robert I’ve been looking at getting one fitted. The one you have seems to be an interior/exterior one i.e you can lock it from both sides. Can you check if you lock it with the key from outside can it be unlocked from the inside by simply turning the lever. I don’t want to get one fitted where I have the situation when the MHC is left unattended that someone can simply pop out the hab door window and reach inside to unlock it. That would defeat the
purpose

Yep this one can be locked from the inside as well our last one could only be locked when you leave the m/h I wanted one that we could lock when we where in bed bought this of eBay £49.00 easy to fit only two screws ,but I will say it’s heavy duty good quality I’m very pleased it only took me 15 minutes to fit was just reading your post again you can fit it anywhere within the door out of reach if so one breaks your window high or low

Looking at it swaying in Storm Brendan from comfort of our home through the window and hoping everyone is safe especially if away in MH.
When it was dry at weekend took opportunity to place our various MHC stickers around MH, only getting around to doing it since we changed it last October.

JJF...no doubt you are back in sunny Spain.
If you saw the tight space it is parked in, even if weather was good couldnt photo them at home.
The big one is on the back, the MHCC 2020 is up high on windscreen on passenger side.
Decided the small mhc sticker would go on window of habitation door as we always put up our external screens and passers-by wouldn’t see it.
I don’t know why we don’t have an MPI sticker, maybe someone can give us one next weekend.
Just looked at last photo of last MH, forgot to remove it.

Also added new French crit sticker this one is a 2 not 3.

If we were do go to a Spain this year do they have similar crit sticker?
Actually what other countries need them?
( admin split this paragraph if better somewhere else)

Two different emission schemes in Belgium, one for Brussels and a different one for three or four other cities - Antwerp etc. Some of these come on line this year.

If you wish to travel into all zones you need to register on both schemes.

Don’t need a sticker, when you register then ANPR cameras are used to enforce.

I suppose if hit with force you'll do damage to protector and original casing underneath. My reason for ordering a pair is they will make mirrors more visible to other vehicles ( ordered a white pair )

I fitted the original “Mirror Guards”. They’re a great job. Drivers side was hit by a white van man traveling at speed well over the white line. His mirror disintegrated, I suffered a very small crack. I stopped, he drove on.

Legal ok, some of them come with reflector stickers. LED lights are fine, as long as red isn't facing forward and white facing to the rear you can have any colour you like if it's not your main light. So not to bright, blue is commonly used and yellow/amber.

The second cylinder plus a connection hose was £200 from LTS all screw on fittings just followed instructions will get it inspected by my gas engineer but it’s hard to go wrong the second cylinder is the same as the other one 11 kg

Got van remapped. Seems a good job. I tested it on a couple of long drag hills. One of them I was able to go up 10mph faster and the other I was able to hold in gear longer before I had to change down. It will take a long run to see how the mpg does

A proper remap made a big difference to my 2.8jtd. A big test was coming up the M2 hill from Belfast to Sandyknowes, it made the difference of having to drop into fourth to staying in fifth the whole way with no problems.

Personally I don't think you can beat a proper remap.

Took the van for its first mot. No problems and passed. I quite enjoy taking Motorhomes to the mot as the guys are always interested and chatty. Because both my previous and current van go down the lorry lane you get time for a decent bit of chat. Surprising how many have an interest in caravans and Motorhomes and have one in their wider family circle.

Good thing about using the lorry lane is that you can get appointments much quicker too. I used to take my WW2 troop carrier down that lane before it became MOT except. That got them chatting more than my Motorhome ever did! The LHD on the van does seem to catch them out. They reach for the handbrake and grasp at thin air..

Are you going to Downpatrick or Newtownards? Best wishes for the test, most of the guys are very interested. I talked to the 2 guys doing mine for about 5 minutes or more after the test was complete and they generally know that we look after our vans very carefully, so there a few things not tested. The previous Motorhome that I had was usually driven by me over the pit and brakes and steering wheel operated by me. Now a tester drives the van, so if you are lucky you can chat to him for the ten minutes or so while they test it.

My stick on beam deflectors were not set quite right (lhd van) at my last MOT and the guy let me nip into my tool kit in the van and stick some black insulating tape over the lights in enough places to keep the light box happy and get me passed .
