I was driving my Motorhome from LTS at Dromore towards sprucefield when I got a very strong WIFI signal on my phone.

I noticed it was called Goldliner and thought "that's a bus".
I then remembered that translink offer free wifi on all vehicles now.

So I looked around for a bus and about two minutes later what passed me?
Yip, a Goldliner bus.

Good strong signal too

Has anyone seen this happen?

I am getting an ariel / booster and wifi repeater from the motorhomecraic shop to try out in France.

As for connections, we have been using marinas etc when abroad but the cost mounts up. I have been looking into getting a sim card for france which allows data but am unsure about tethering as many networks don,t allow it.

I am heading over to France in a couple of weeks so I will report back on how useful the equipment set up is when I get back.

Just bought a Europa sim mifi for £99 which can connect up to 5 devices, will use this for continent and just change the sim for local trips, it comes unlocked ready to go

I did look at those a while ago and thought the prices on the data were quite good. No idea why I didn't go for it.
