£85,553 to develop six overnight motorhome bays with electric hook-ups and grey water disposal point as part of the Urgha Aire project, just outside Tarbert in the Outer Hebrides, to help deal with the increase in campervans and motorhomes arriving on the island.

That's one expensive aire!

Of course it is, it's not their money.

Shouldn't we welcome the creation of the aire rather than criticise or question the overall cost. I know nothing about the location but I wonder does the cost include site surfacing, lighting etc. Another aire sounds good to me. :-)

I do not think anyone was saying it was not welcome, but I do think the point was that if everyone thinks that it takes this amount of money to create 6 Motorhome bays then that in its own will be negative.
