Evening all....

We're across to France soon and last time the young lad got eaten alive at night in and out of the van.

Ant recommendations for effective mozzie killers? Are those zapper lamps any good (loads on Amazon so hard to know what's good).

Any think else I can do in the van to keep them away?

I come out in lumps after the little buggers have their feast of me,

That Smidge that Ally has linked to is so far the best to keep them away,
you best to put it on before they attack,

Enjoy France

I use Smidge and two of these, Ultrasonic Repellent Portable Mosquito-Killer, if I'm sitting out in the evening/ night
In Spain our friends grow Basil plants on the Patio to keep Bug's away , so I would keep some in pots in the van, keep fluffing your hand's trough then every time you pass by and get your son to do the same. rub some leaves between your hands and around the wrists ankles and neck.

you can try this I think it works.
pure sweet basil oil applied directly to the skin showed 100 percent effectiveness in repelling mosquitoes for 70 minutes. This treatment could become rather costly using store-bought basil essential oil. One alternative is to make your own fresh basil mosquito repellent.

Place 6 ounces of freshly picked basil leaves into a pint jar and pour 4 ounces of boiling water over them.
Cover the jar and let it sit for four hours.
Strain the liquid into a spray bottle. Be sure to squeeze the remaining liquid from the leaves.
For added potency, add 25 drops of basil essential oil (optional). Cover and gently shake to mix.
Apply the repellent directly on any exposed skin for protection against mosquito bites.

They eat me alive, it's dreadful. Smidge is the only one that works perfect.

There's a story, I'll tell it when back on PC. 🫣😁

I ordered a few bottles of Smidge from https://www.pharmadirect.ie/ so hopefully it'll be here early next week.

I might get one of the UV bug zappers too as one of the other kids has an insect phobia. It's great fun in our van on holidays.... :)

Anyone know of a suntan lotion that has repellant in it. I got one years ago (1972) and haven’t seen any since

Vicks vapor rub has been known to work, spread it on pulse points,
