I sailed on that boat the Galicia Portsmouth to Santander a few weeks back.
A few things quite noticeable is no engine noises/bangs and a very smooth crossing
Another thing the prices of food and drinks was more than reasonable bearing in mind they have a captive audience..

There was also a ‘free’ breakfast and lunch which was 3 course and cooked to perfection.
Downside of course is the price!

The last one was a dingy the replacement is certainly bigger.
I’m booked on the 4 of November I somehow think I’ll be on the last crossing of the Connemara as their schedule stopped after the 4 November. I wonder how much of a price difference there will be? It is meant to have a much better pet exercise area. Which in fairness doesn’t mean much as the current one is pathetic.
The Galicia includes meals in the ticket price.

We also sailed on the Galicia over the Bay of Biscay in bad weather and it was very stable. No problems at all. This could be a good move

We were on a cruise liner 6000 people on board crossing bay of Biscay. The rollers started getting bigger and the sick bags came out. I don't feel it as I do a bit of sailing. I definately would not like to have been in a 30ft sailing boat. Coming back was as flat as a billiard table.
