Jack one benefit of working for Royal Mail ... The parcels never 'arrive' ...they can be slipped into the house surreptitiously :D

Digital volt meter that you plug into a cigar lighter socket off e-bay for less than 4 quid
now I can check the state of each battery without hunting for my multimeter or lifting the bonnet

It's never the credit card bill, it's explaining to the wife when strange parcels arrive

Just hint at her shoes storage area!

I bought a box of 3 candles that change colour and are very realistic. I used them last night and they look very good. The run of a AAA battery and use very little power. Much better than ordinary ones for the motorhome.

Pat did you fit front and back and did you make them or buy the universal ones? I put a spray skirt on the back of my Adria to keep the dirt off the trailer but am not really happy with it.

I fitted two universal to the front , had to make up a small bracket for each one. I fitted two lorry ones to the back( think they are 16'' x 8'') also had to make brackets to fit. I fitted them more for appearance than functionality , the van looked very bare from the back, like a box on top of two narrow wheels on an axle that is 1' narrower than the body. It looks much better from behind now.

Gadgets and Additional heat -
I treated the Hymer to a Engine Preheater - (Electric and a separate Webasto) - Still to Fit if someone could let me know what is the inlet pipe and outlet from the heating matrix so I can cut into it and stick in the pump. :'(

Got a CCTV recorder to protect from the Car flies - incase I mow one over when I cannot stop in time as they took the stopping space >_< Thanks for the references and pointers

Spoiled myself for my birthday and got a reversing camera to be nosey out back

It may sound like trying to be smart but seriously are there no small marks on the casing to indicate flow direction

No installation manual?

As TFC said, check the casing for arrows, if no joy there then you could google the model number of the heater and it should dig up the installation manual.

Hi - there is no issue with t he Thermotop C or the other wee heater, they are marked direction - its joining into the Fiat Engine heating circuit. :'(

I think the hot water goes in the bottom of a radiator and the cooled water out the top. O-)

So it maybe the same with the heat exchanger = Ally would know as he had one of these yokes I think? Hymer 2.5Td Ducato Engine?

Also - has the New Post button been removed? I cannot find it?
Thanks for the assistance

When thermostat opens you should be able to feel the difference in temp of hoses , hot in, cold out
Or am I up too late?

Cheers Mitch,
I haven't got it hooked up yet and appreciate the input, I sourced a temp probe and will use the engine and your directions to find direction.
Cheers

The hot water comes out through top of the engine, through the top hose, down through the radiator, where it cools and back in to the engine again

Not really complaining about the costs........ well maybe just a bit :D

The van has given us enormous pleasure and taken us to places we could only have wished for otherwise, since we bought it 3 years ago and is worth every penny we spent on it and we look forward to many more adventures, particularly in this coming year.

The weather is better in Spain than London, especially at the minute with all the floods...

After the fabulous weekend in The Glen of Aherlow weather wise and having scrubbed the mud from the inside of the motorhome I have just purchased a doggy bag for the lovely Penny. If there was a puddle she found it and jumped into it. Thanks to the hunters for introducing us to this fabulous invention! I look forward to receiving it in time for our next outing.
