I haven't stopped buying stuff since the lockdown started. Latest purchases: Single rotating front passenger seat and Koni Red adjustable heavy duty shocks all around. Can't wait to test both on the next trip.

The shock absorbers will be a much needed upgrade as the original set at 140k km was well past it's sell by date and the bouncy castle effect got worse and worse over the year when the ongoing build added more weight. I figured it out that I can get these for the same money the CVRT (DOE) crowd would charge for an OEM set. Changing them on Sprinter is not such a bad job as the shock absorbers are separate from springs (leaf springs at both ends) and these adjustable Konis should be a once in a lifetime of the van purchase. As I went through two full sets of OEM on the last van this actually saves money in the long term.

Yea right.

Fitted 2 x 18 watt leds as docking lights at the rear. I find that the reversing light isn't bright enough to see what im doing.

Hoovered my toolbox and got rid of about 3 kilos of tools. I don't really need 6 x 12mm or BSF or Whiteorth spanners and all those flat head screwdrivers.

Can someone rotate the photo, please I've have rotated it in the original but it keeps coming out this way

Bought a new table for the lounge, just the right size for the 2 of us and totally opens up the space. It is also removable. The old one is now a temporary table for the outdoor socialising.

Got the top on Amazon, bolero 60cm for £35. The leg was on eBay. It was £70 but cheaper versions were available for £50. However this one was recommended. Sequoia Ali Base table leg system.

The seat bases/bed on my Wildax to say the least were firm so back today (not yet tried ) from these people
Caravan Seat Cover Centre based in Bristol (to be honest they were great price included courier service there and back)
Cushions to be refilled in 2" 33/135 (top) + 3" 33/160
(bottom). 1 cushion on board.
which is 3 inches of medium firm on the bottom and 2 inches of medium soft on the top.
work took about 3 weeks which didnt matter for us
They tell me they are totally rammed with work at the moment.

I don't think it's the same fitting as the red cylinder and they're very difficult to get when you run out, which is a pity as they are so light

You are spot on,Dave. it is a patio style regulator. there are two types available.
Steven I would totally agree with you, it would be the way to go if they if the system ever catches on, you have to wonder why. considering they dropped the price of the bottles by half in the last year. why do yoh have to buy gas bottles in the first? when they are fleecing us on the price of the gas in the first place

They would be much better all round, lighter for customers to carry, and distributor could fit more on their trucks with the less weight

I have a gas exhaust outlet by Truma on the side of my van. I have read a couple of reports of flys hibernating en mass inthere over the winter. Some one recommended this,

https://www.toolstation.com/flexible-end-cap/p35443

But at £6.99 and postage of nearly as much again it was a non starter. I couldn’t source it locally at a couple of plumbers and builders merchants. My son is a plumber and he brought an end cap from soil pipes when they are delivered. Perfect push fit, and free.

Depending on the headroom in the cabinet, you may need to get the clip-on adapter with the side entry connector.

They are half the weight. Aot less noise and the bottle is transparent so you can see exactly what gas is left i don't mind changing connection if need be Martin

There are plenty on eBay uk if you can sort out the Craicer express to get it home. In fact there is a 10kg full one listed for £36.00 but it’s in Sunderland.
One in the Wirral area of Liverpool which would be convenient to someone heading back to Holyhead after the madness is over (wishful thinking)

Good luck in your quest

Fair enough, but what if you are abroad when you run low. Maybe it’s just me, but I like having the common ones, that you can pick up anywhere. Is the weight that big an issue. If they were readily available, they would be a brilliant addition, without a doubt

Not sure about elsewhere but with us it is becoming harder to get refills.
The larger companies are buying these stations over and taking out the gas pumps.
