Does anyone know of someone who could repair the aluminium housing on one of the arms of my wind out awning? It collapsed in a freak storm and dropped down on one side. The arm housing has split a little bit. It’s a very old model and I can’t get a replacement part.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions 🤞🏼

we have to start in the usual way, in asking where are you based?

You'll be looking for someone who does MIG or TIG welding. It used to be a specialist thing but it's fairly common these days.

Yes it’s much easier to help folks if we have an idea where they are. Adding a County to your avatar gives away no secrets but gets a better response when assistance is required

Too right Brian, I also don't understand why it's not filled in, its the first thing I look at, when people ask for help.
So people for your own good, fill in your profile. Including your Motorhome and base vehicle.
Help others to help yourself.

Tee, not directed at you. It happens most days 👍

Agree, not directly getting at you Tee in any way, you will never have seen the relevance of others knowing that information until you go looking for help. We can't really make it a requirement, but we see it a lot.
The first two things we need to know is, where are you and what is your vehicle. As you have seen it was the first response to your post.
Please don't be put off, it's just something that needed to be said.

Now let's see if we can get you someone to fix your problem. Within an hours or so's drive from you🤔

I have updated my information and added a reply above, but in case it wasn’t spotted, I’m on the Ards Peninsula.

I have taken the awning off in the meantime. It’s a Fiamma 45XL. I have contacted Fiamma and they stopped manufacturing that particular model in 1992 😂

Send me a PM.

I’m heading to Tyrone in a couple of weeks, so I can bring it to you if that suits?
