Broken Mirror Cover

 ·
Posted: 13.09.2021  ·  #1
Traveling to Dingle yesterday my RHS mirror was clipped by another MH traveling too fast for the narrow road. I had protectors fitted but the cover has several cracks and the indicator unit is damage. Its the long arm type 2018. The mirrors are ok and moving. Just wandering has anyone replaced the back cover and indicator unit only.

I replaced the near side indicator about 4 years ago with a cheapie from fleabay. Easy job but the lens has now turned yellow. Had to replace the driver side cover 2 years ago. Bit harder to do but still a DIY job. It was an after market part and wasn’t as good a fit as the original. However once I put the cover guard back it was hard to notice. Mine is a Fiat.

Thanks all for the advice. Got the indicator unit from EM parts delivered to Newry for £9.40. Decided to try new protectors first before buying a new back for the mirror. It worked out great . With the protectors on you can't see any cracks in the mirror back. The protectors were £49 99 delivered .
