Starting a fresh in Europe

Hi all, first post. I've been looking for a long time into setting up in a campervan. Took a long time to make simplify the plan.

So, could I fly to Germany, buy a campervan found online, insure it and then get on the road?

I know it's bound to be so much more complicated, I would really appreciate tips.
