Tax disk on LHD

Finally, I got all my ducks to line up. Transferred UK driving licence to Irish one, imported Westy from UK, got VRT and Irish plates, got insured, got Irish tax disk, failed and then passed CVRT, bought shiny new holder for tax, insurance and CVRT disks.

Now, my big question. Where do I put it on LHD van. I have GPS holder in bottom lh of window where it normally goes. I was thinking of behind the mirror. Is this legal?

Anywhere around the perimeter of the windscreen is fine AFAIK, I'd go top or bottom of the windscreen on the passenger side so it has least impact on the drivers visibility. It's not your responsibility to facilitate a Garda at a checkpoint, just to display the disks and not impair your own view of the road.

I drive an LHD motorhome. AFAIK our discs are supposed to be on the kerb-side of the windscreen so they can be inspected from the safety of the footpath or hard shoulder.
My tax, CVRT & Insurance 'discs' are on the kerbside (LHS) which suits Irish coppers.
My environmental discs are on the RDS (kerb-side in drive on the right countries) which suits the European coppers who have no interest in the Irish discs.
An option you could consider is placing them along the top just to the left of the rearview mirror, this would count as being on the 'kerb-side.

Similar to the post by Baguette, here in N. Ireland the tax disc was supposed to be in the bottom left corner (kerbside) and May have been law although not certain. My European environment discs are bottom right as required by the issuing authorities.
