Hi Lads,
New to this site and i am hoping ye might be able to give me a recommendation for a Van heater .I have a converted 09 ford transit. There was a "Car parking Heater" "Model xmz-D2" in it but the glow plug is broken and i can not source a new plug for it.
I can't seen to find a tread on here for van heaters so even if somebody could redirect me to an older tread that would be great as well. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick response,
I'm not sure about these Chinese heaters. I know they are getting good reviews online but it seems very hard to get parts for them.I know there cheap but i have shopped around a lot for this Glow plug with no luck { online, tool-hire repair shops, Motor factors} .Even if somebody could direct me where to get one (glow plug) that would be great or else a more local type heater that could be fixed if it breaks would be a big help.
The Spec on the one i have is.

Name= car parking heater
Fuel= Diesel
Model=XMZ-D2
Rated Voltage=12V 40W
Heatint Power=5KW

There us a couple different types.
I keep spares for the ones we fit,
One has a straight connector, other has 90 degree connector. Another type has an atomiser shield around it. The plug at the other end is similar to one found on the HDD loom in a PC.
If I saw a picture I can probably assist.

There is a ‘good type’ of those heaters and others are poor (castings misaligned, wiring poor).. good ones have 6 bolts on the heat exchanger flame chamber, cheaper ones only 4 and tend to twist if run at high temperatures.
We have quite a few that have 100’s of hours on them, one fitted to a market traders lorry that has mega hours on it.

I might just take a chance on it. The reviews on the heaters seem positive enough like.

When I am on eBay and one of those messages comes up,Doesn't post to Northern Ireland.
I just send them a message to tell them that because of their postal message I will make my purchase elsewhere.

You could be busy sending messages after new year as its only going to get worse and another issue will be the goods coming in from China etc, where anything valued at under £15 went through without duty will no longer apply as that has been scraped.
