Thinking of getting one but havent a clue which? Hoping you Techie types can point me in the right direction. What features do they have? I currently have the factory fitted radio and use a stand alone Garmin sat nav. Would a head unit have all these features built in? How reliable are they and ease of use etc....I like the idea of having one but would like some real world advice from people who use them.....Basically...How will it make my life better...... or not!!!

I was going to put one in but the price is a bit much for the main brands and some of the chinese ones have odd dimensions as well as not offering Carplay, so my solution was to install a pull up document holder which holds a phone or tablet and I use that for both satnav and music with Spotify/amazon and it plays through the built in radio

Biggest question is Single DIN or Double DIN? Double DIN with all the bells and whistles are fairly common but single DIN are rare and expensive.

Built in Sat nav single or double din does not really make much difference but having Sat Nav Built in to the best of my knowledge does not come with free updates and updates are usually fairly expensive, for example for my Lexus a update is over £200 something to consider

As it happens my van has the tablet holder already installed. That sounds like a great alternative ....
