For the first time ever, I tried wine from Lidl. Tried a Pinot Grigio and a Chardonnay. Unimpressed. Both quite earthy. Might be fine as a second bottle, but I wouldn’t be a fan. For another €2.50 per bottle, I could be having a decent tipple.
Maybe I just chose the wrong ones, have one more to try. Hopefully that will be better. I’m not expecting much though

That reminds me of once when we were at a friends house, we opened a bottle of wine and it was not good.
We opened a second bottle and it was good, then we opened a third bottle and it was also good.
We returned to the first bottle and guess what,it was bloody brilliant.😂

You got the authentic Pinot Grigio experinece there as far as I'm concerned, insipid shite. As for Chardonnay, I find when it's labelled as Chardonnay, it's not for me most of the time but I'm a huge fan of white Burgandys which are for the most part Chardonnays.

Ah no, Tommy, some of the stuff out there is terrible. I wouldn’t give it to the mother in law. You can’t beat a McGuigan for a Pinot Grigio. The black label is nicer than the signature one imo, and cheaper. But the classic one you get at WBS in France is best of all, and the cheapest. Sigh 😔

They don’t have the floating widget, couldn’t get any of them, they had to use the old type fixed to the base.
Guinness say it’s exactly the same Guinness that goes into them.

Not that @hillton9 would touch the draught stuff anyway 😁

Just to put a big damper on all you alcofrolics out there since for the past 3 or so years not allowed any % since I knackered my side and am now a pill junkie, never could stand cat pizz they call lager being a ex-CAMRA bloke I hope that they bring it over to the UK
So I being in a majority of being the only one going to try it mind you if its anything like the rest of the 0% stuff it might only be one can and the rest down the waste water tank to clean it.

I hope my original post was understood to be tongue ‘n cheek David. 0% is a great idea especially when they taste good. I know what it’s like to be the designated or when it’s time to slow down. So like you I’ll be trying aGuinness 0 myself. 😉

Glad to hear that you will give it a go so being a tight old git perhaps you will let us have a report, only problem of course for you would be having to bear the shame as a true Irish gentleman of having to ask for it. >_<

So until then will stick to me Dandelion and Burdock, yes its true you can still buy it.
