I need to get 2 new headlights for a Dethleffs A class as the chrome on the reflectors has rusted, they're Hella 04 HR 12.5 O2A, Donaghys have sorced them from Dethleffs but Dethleffs are looking for €300 each for them, any similar lights I've found on the Internet are €35/50 each, as Dethleffs have them, they have to be out there but I can't find them, any help appreciated

Thats a hell of a price from Dethleffs. Generally all the genuine motorhome parts are a rip off anyway. Hope you get sorted Dave

Is there a part number at the lower corner of the lenses?
The numbers you have are at the top of the lenses correct?

I got the numbers from the bottom so I'll check the top, that's what I need, proper numbers

@JJF I have narrowed the catalogue list down to 4, I'll need to take the light out to check some measurements, raining now so a tomorrow job

Crazy prices. A mate got a price of €1295 for a mirror for an A class Hymer. 2008 year. The mind boggles

Reminds me of the early 70's. The radiator for a Ford Capri 3 litre was about 3 times the price of a radiator for a Transit. They were the same item with different part numbers.

Surely manufacturers would never rip people off like that 😡,or would they?😤

Have you thought about re-coating them to make them reflective by using mirror paint

First thing I thought of, as I worked at electroplating years ago but it's a semi sealed unit

That’s crazy, not that you would be using them very often, maybe that is the problem 🤔 if the glass was cracked could you persuade Dolmen to pay for them 🤔😂

Can you put up a photo of the headlight, one of us may be able to help in the direction of a solution which won't cost the proverbial arm and a leg.

I had it in for a service and the mechanic is holding onto it in the hope of sourcing the lights but I'll put up pictures if he's unsuccessful

Great seller with good prices. Lots of A Class mh's use those Hella 90mm units which do unfortunately tarnish over time.

Just thinking if it's Chinese crap I'll have to buy them again next year, ( although the seller has a good reputation) the price difference with Dethleffs is crazy 6 times more expensive 😠
Going to give my mechanic a few more days to source them, then follow up the info you guy's have given me here, knew I could rely on MHC for the answer 👍👍

The one in the photo is the same as the OE on my Rapido and also my friends Rapido. FWIW both of us have had to replace tarnished units >_<
The price quoted by the eBay seller is not out of line with that usually asked by reputable 'high street' suppliers to the commercial vehicle trade, the units are commonly used on mini-busses and coaches. SEE HERE for example
