1 night campervan, 2 adults, EHU, awning (which we didn't put due to size of pitch €42.50.

No reduction in number of pitches for Covid-19.

The narrowest pitches we have stayed on in a caravan park. If smallish awning had been erected, it would have nearly touched the side of our neighbours van.
No social distancing on pitches - sanitisers and few signs around.
Positives - toilets etc spotlessly clean, quiet at night.

Yes, we did, but thought it was going to be a great site with big pitches, so we treated ourselves.

Some of these sites will regret treating people like fools this year,we have all lost income but that does not give us the right to become highway robbers.
Next year people will make decisions based on the experience of this year and that is where these greedy people will loose out.

I booked it 4 week ago for this week and paid €34 a night had to book a extra night this week and paid €44 .
It was full all week and I think it still worth €44 for its location and modern clean facilities .

Sorry but I have to disagree,no campsite is worth €44 for camper parking.

There will be some motorhomers that are willing to be ripped off, but there will be more that are not willing and they are the ones that will call the shots.
That is the beauty of this group,we will spend our money where we feel welcome.

Yes Norman, for one year and they don't be long forgetting unfortunatly, that's exactly what happened with this campsite, many of us were boycotting it after they way the developers treated the the Motorhomers that used to stay up on the hill, in an area called Shanoon. They were Bullies then and still are, a leopard never changes its spots.

I done feel I am being ripped ,of you get what you pay for, this is a clean well maintained site with a good location and good facilities.
If I was paying €44 just to park my camper then I would be ripped off.
I am new to motorhomeing and have only stayed in 6 sites but this is top of my list .
Paying around €30 for a site that’s dated poor facilities and location not as good is not great value in my opinion and we all have our own opinion .
As for B&B no comparison.

Sideways you are very welcome to your expensive campsites but I can assure you that many motorhomes are not interested in that robbery.
We can agree to disagree but that is how I see it.

Everyone to there own, I would much prefer to park in a field, forest or Football pitch for under £10 and use the facilities in the van. But it does all depend on the location and occasional need for EHU on
longer trips.

The important thing is that you feel you are getting good value for money. If it works for you that’s great. There are others that don’t feel it is good value and others that have other reasons for not liking the site but we all respect each other. Enjoy your self.

I’m assuming the vat reduction from 20% to 5% for the hospitality sector announced today in Westminster will apply to campsites in NI as they are tourist Accomodation?

I wasn’t having a dig at you at all.
You are quite entitled to spend your money as you choose, and if you think that’s money well spent, and you enjoyed it, that’s fair enough. I must say I hate B&B myself and have only used them on three occasions in my entire life, I was just making a comparison cost wise. As others have said, everyone has there own opinions on things. Enjoy your Motorhome

It was a very popular Parking place in Dunmore East, the barrier used to be left open. The barrier was then closed when the caravan park opened. All designed to make us use the site. Causing loads to boycott the campsite and still people boycott it.

The business in Dunmore East didn't want the car park closed. The bluegrass festival was massive for Motorhome owners, no longer.

I must be a tight git but for me 44€ per night, you can get a room in a five star hotel with breakfast for that with some of the deals going on now my neighbour told me two days ago that he has booked a hotel outside Donegal town a five star joint can’t remember the name of it two nights bed and breakfast and an evening meal for not much more than that ,it’s funny how some top class hotels are now giving great deals to get customers back but campsites are hacking there prices up ,if I was a site owner I would be giving good discount at these time to get customers (Confucius says full camp site at reduced rate better than empty camp site at overpriced rate ) 😂

Very few people are taking their annual holiday abroad this year, people are cautious about B&Bs and hotels as they have no control over the people in the room before they arrived. People want different scenery after months of being confined hence the popularity of campsites. Less campsites open. Much shorter season.
I personally have been inundated with enquires at a level way beyond anything I have seen before. But as demonstrated people have long memories and those profiteering now May come to regret their greed.

There was a Rep. from the Tourist industry on the radio this morning looking for the government to reduce the vat rate down to the same as the UK to 5%, She said that no one would pass on the reduction to the customer and No one would raise their prices at this time as they have the customers interests at heart. BULL-S**T.

Don't you just love when a spokesperson has no idea of what is really happening, only the other week a Hotelier finished an interview with a statement that of course, they will have to increase prices to cover the cost of reopening.

This country is built ion ripping people off all the while telling us how great experience and value we are all getting.

Just for a bit of perspective.

This time last year, during the period 06/07/19 to 13/07/19 we were staying at Camping Le Soleil in France and were paying €46 p/n for the two of us.
The pitch was about 10m X 8m and the price included the use of ALL the site facilities, nightly live entertainment and EHU.
A 38° heatwave was thrown in for good measure :-)
