Getting on the road for our "Staycation"..
Will we be fine on Google maps? I see Copilot App / Sygic Truck Navigation mentioned online..of course then there are the sat navs such as TOmTom, Garmin who have a new fancy model coming out in october and some great models out there! Just looking for something to save us getting stuck on a bad road or under a bridge!

We use Sygic Truck, its great!

+1
Excellent Satnav, runs on big screen tablet, clear voice.
Auto updates, live traffic, cameras, dangerous bend warning and much more.
Recommended.

thanks a lot, have downloaded Sygic for Truck there and have signed up for the 14 day trial!

It didn't recognise the beach i was at earlier today (Old Head, near Louisburgh) but it did avoid the route we take by car which is good!

We have a 12" Ipad so map looks great on it..

So what is your rough plan? In terms of campsites or ‘wild camping’ (which is not camping btw)? Are you winging it or do you have all sites pre-booked?

Heading for West Cork at weekend. Have no sites pre-booked, so winging it...few friends houses en route to plug in and catch up with..sites are pretty full I believe!

I see this top end sat nav model which Garmin say is out in q3 2020 appears to be on sale on Amazon..

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmi…69&sr=8-14

trying to figure how much extra benefit this is compared to Sygic for example..@€70 for a lifetime licence and 3 years of map updates
