Guys..got my hot water working on gas gut not sure if I can heat water with electric also..also the switch for filling the hot water tank..should it always be in the left or right down position..

Doesn't look like you have electric heating to me

Left or right doesn't matter, upwards is drain IIRC.

Usually vans with electric and gas water heating, both can be used to heat it quickly.

We had a similar switch to yours. It only controled the temperature when heating on gas. There was a separate electrical switch beside the boiler to heat when on EHU. There was no thermostat on that, only on or off.
