I never rated these as much of a work van but surely this has to be a great we starter van for someone.
It is in great condition and the price is good.

I drove a mini bus version from the west side of Glasgow to the east side of London and I worked out that it was using one litre of oil per 500 mile but in fairness it kept going!

I've sent the link to a friend of ours that has recently retired, I think it would be an ideal van for her and her dog.the only problem is where its located.

Fair clean van and do you know when you walk out of that van you are on the same holiday as the guy that walks out of £100,000 Motorhome and you have a better chance of owning it than the guy with the fancy one.

Yes I have a 1993 van and I get the feel good factor knowing that mine is mine and not costing me the price of a decent mortgage every month and it also has the advantage of no crap electronics or fancy pcbs that seem to cause a lot of angst with the owners of newer vehicles
Both are really cool. That Karmann one is an interesting one. The Transporter 3 was a rear engine layout and wonder if the access to the engine is via the rear panel? Notice the two "fridge" vents at the bottom. The rear floor must be somewhat raised compared to the middle section?
That's what you'd want for full time touring but I'd say she would be a thirsty bus.
Probably around the low 20 mpg but once you get used to the space it is hard to get away from it. Tag axle is a bit harder on the front tyres, around 19 to 20 thousand miles and they are done.
Fair point Ally,I would also say that if you were going next year to but a new motorhome you will also get a better deal.
About bloody time also, for a while everyone was getting on the bandwagon including the Government with their new tax.
Love it but the downside would be the steep steps to the toilet after a belly full of the green tinnies
The wiper on the roof is that for star gazing seeing as it’s a star liner?
I quite like it and can only dream of how I would design it and hey I even have the licence to drive it, but do I want it, probably not as in where would you park it, where do you dump your waste waters but still nice
Ally. It definitely got lost in the mix. Perhaps you need alcohol on board to understand where you are coming from. That’s why I understand you perfectly.
