Self Isolation MoHo Maintenance

Top of my list is a newly discovered rooflight leak. I posted here the summer before last when I ended up desperately removing and resealing the main rooflight on our bus the evening before getting a ferry to France. I always knew it was a temporary job as I had to make do with this non setting mastic from woodies at short notice. I knew it was too runny at the time but it got us on the road on time for the ferry.
It must have been the battering we took from storm whatsitsface about a month ago in Ferrybank that moved everything about so much that the inevitable has happened and we have a little leak. I need to tackle it tomorrow which means more of the same non setting mastic from woodies or sikaflex ebt from b&q. I'm wary of the ebt in case it ever needs removing again but a bit of research tells me that once you keep a 3mm+ bond gap until its set, jobs a goodun for years.
I could order some dekaseal 8936 online, which I have used on another rooflight previously and its held tough and wait to do it later in the week or next weekend.

Any thoughts on flexible polyurethane seals like sikaflex / wurth bond and seal vs non setting bituminous mastic for sealing rooflights?

More importantly, what will you be sorting on your wagon between now and the reopening of the pubs?

Sikaflex used in the correct way will give you a perfect sealant for many years.
It is widely used within the marine industry so that should speak for itself.

Sikaflex every time. Get the mounting one if you can. Can’t think of the number now, but have some in the workshop. It’ll seal it perfectly, it’ll never move, but if you ever need to remove it, you can.

I've just finished both of my skylights after discovering leaks in both. I used Tec 7 and I'm happy with it. I contacted the company before using it to see if it would be suitable considering the movement and vibration and they said that it would be very suitable for the job. Time will tell.

I also use Wurth's Bond and seal to reseal the skylights on our Chausson a few years ago. the most important thing no matter what Product you use is have both surfaces perfectly clean and oil free. if you use Bond and seal you will never be able to take it apart with out damaging the skylights.
