Hi,

I have one of the above heaters fitted and it seems to be flattening the battery.

It is connected directly from my leisure battery.

Anything I can do to sort this out, please?

Just to clarify, it is connected to my leisure battery and is draining the engine battery, so I can't start the engine.....

What makes you think it's the heater?

If it’s draining the engine battery then there is a problem with the on vehicle charging to the leisure battery or an unassociated problem with a parasitic drain on the main battery. Needs checking out by someone who understands the system, starting by finding the source of the drain and establishing battery condition.

Actually don't think it is the heater now. While I was waiting for a jump start, got cold and put the heating on....working perfectly fine. Engine was still dead, though.

When I left home on Thursday after the van being stood for a couple of days, it struggled to fire the engine up then.

So something is draining the engine battery......or maybe the battery is just not holding a charge.....??
