LPG Outlets?

 ·
Posted: 27.02.2020  ·  #1
I have downloaded "the app" to find lpg stations in N.I.

We are currently in Larne but there doesn't appear to be anywhere near by.

Ballynure filling station shows up but I rang them and they dont do it anymore.

So, the question is, does anyone know anywhere near Larne to fill the lpg tank up or do I have to drive to Belfast and back again please?

Thanks in anticipation and watching the gauge getting very low!

You just reminded me to remove that one!

There is one in Carrickfergus, it used to be on the App, I'm not sure why it is no longer. It's at the filling station as you leave Carrickfergus, or one of them. I'll get you the name of it shortly.

The one in Carrick is gone, that's why it's not on the app.

Next one is Shore Road at the bottom of Fort William.

Unfortunately they are seeming to get a bit scarce, a really good outlet in Hollywood, on the left into Belfast, has stopped. The Flogas outlet in harbour estate is good.

The one listed in Bantry no longer exists either, they closed a few months ago.

The last time I went to Flogas at the harbour estate you needed to have the correct amount of money in cash as the security man doesn’t have change or a card machine

Ah right.

Just trying to get to know where we can get the lpg in the areas we most frequent, so its good to get up to date information like this.

I used the station in Dundonald which was handy enough.

We are normally between the Bangor area and Larne.

I think there is a supply at Balloo in Bangor, but there is very little around the Larne area unfortunately.

Can’t understand why LPG isn’t more mainstream. As a fossil fuel with a much smaller carbon footprint than petrol/ diesel you’d think it’s an avenue that should be exploited.

I agree, cant understand why governments do not encourage people to convert petrol cars to LPG. The amount of emissions would be reduced straight away without big expense or without electric cars and charging points.
