Thanks TommyS, Eirebus. I would stick to the campers only! Oooh I've had my fill of the auld Defenders!!!

Ally, I'll put it out there on the Facebook page and let people know the sort of costs associated with the typical minor and major overhaul works that can present as unexpected surprises or work that's 'on the long finger' while a few quid is gathered up to tackle same.
Most Timing Belt work can be done in 4 hours on most of the older machines as access is easier. Timing belt kits for the older machines are in around €250 - €300 including tensioner and idler.
Complete
interior roof re-lining and re-insulation is typically 2 good days work, with materials, this work should come in around the €1000 mark.
Outer sealant - typical 1 good days work, with materials, should come in around €550 - €600.
Under Chassis steel work replacement - 2 days, again, in the region of €1000.
Under sealant, Schutz spray.... €300 all in.
The Northern regions of the country might be covered by a Donegal shop for these jobs, I don't rightly know?
The Southern region appears to have a chap in Waterford doing chassis work only.
I have been asking around through the various associations that I work within, and there does not appear to be any vehicle body shops that can do all of the work that an older machine may require all around the same time, so I will make inroads to getting numbers of interested persons who would have certain repair/replacement work to be done at some point in the next couple of years. I do understand also that the best years of motorhoming are done once retirement begins and there are just some jobs that we can't really manage safely anymore once the body gets on a bit, so I think it's paramount that this factor alone should provide a shop where a much loved and cherished machine gets what it needs at a fair price that doesn't ruin anyone's budgets for motoring around the country.
