Still a few members getting this wrong, probably my fault as I put these details in with other details, so here is a better explanation.

We used to have to TAG youtube videos something like this (with no spaces) [youtube ] address of video [ /youtube]

I have edited the template so you no longer have to do that.

All you need to do is post the address of the video into a post and it will work automatically, just like faecebook :@

Its also the same for Vimeo videos/movies.

So you can use the share option on video's, copy the link and paste it into a post and nothing more :up:

Sorry, I was just faffing about there because I noticed before when copy YouTube links, the link would look like this:

, and for me to get it to work within the tags [youtube][/youtube], I would have to edit the link to remove the https://youtu.be/ header. Is that still the case?

Yeah that's right, you just needed the bit at the end, the code of the video, I actually forgot about that as I edited this code a few months back, my post must of been lost: forum/topic.php?t=20729

Now you can just paste the full URL in and nothing else, so no editing involved.

Ah, I got you. That explains why my previous post has a YouTube video embedded, when I just expected the link text string.

Yeah :) - you would of needed to break the URL to show, thats why I put spaces in the code as an example, but you probably know that :)
