There's a truck and van breaker not too far away from me near Ballycumber Co.Offaly and I spotted a '06 Ducato pickup out the front of his yard. They had the 2.5T engine in them if I recall and the engine mounts and brackets might suit for a straight fit.
The '92 - '02 chassis has good room to tweak engine mount brackets if 2 new brackets need to be welded or existing brackets need to be extended. You'll find Brackens Ballycumber on the web for contact details if it's not too far for you.

@Blackbird,
Take a look at the Talbot Owners Club website, some great info and a lot of knowledgeable people on it.
You can join for free but if you need to get into the How To section you will need to make a donation for as much or as little as you wish to spend.
Even if you don’t find what you want for your engine it’s still a good site to keep tabs on the older Fiats, Talbot and Citroen vehicles

If the head is gone, why would you need to change the engine ? A head rebuild or if necessary a replacement head,gasket set and possible skim should be an alternative.

What is the problem with the head ? it can be skimmed and reused.

You won’t know what’s needed until the head is removed. Still a rebuilt head is better than a new engine.

I had the head skimmed and cylinders rebored on a 70 year old engine so it should not be a problem skimming a much younger one if that is all it needs along with a new gasket.

Not much point in posting here, that guy didn’t log on since the day he put up the original post. Hopefully recent posts will be of benefit others.
