Another one is Mannix Point, Caherciveen, Co Kerry. Although officially closed, the owner will open up if you make arrangements in advance.

Thanks there are some there I had not thought of, anyone been to "Slane Farm" in Meath? it would be well located for us to stop on our way down and seems to stay open until the end of October.

I havent been "down south" for over a decade, many of the sites we used to enjoy are now gone but a good few remain although I am shocked at the price of them

I was surprised at how early some sites close some of them close in the first half of September!!!!
