It’s 4:15 hours from me. That’s doable for a weekend, if you can get away on the Friday morning. I’d say you’re a reasonable bit closer Pat.

You would think so but it took us nearly 5hr to get home, (Bloody sat nav) was back in Bantry a couple weekends ago and did it in around 2hr, found a better way. Tbh I dont want to drive anymore than 1hr this time of year for a weekend away unless it is something special like MHCC meet.

That’s fair enough. Lots of people feel the same. Really shortens your options though. I guess I’m lucky, in that I don’t mind the driving. Dingle next weekend for me anyway 👍

I don't know your planned route but the Killarney historic rally is on next Saturday so expect delays on Friday and Saturday if going through Killarney,

They sound amazing don’t they. I owned the BDA engine that James Cullen raced in the early eighties..... had it in a RS1800 flat front, Reg number KZP 1.
Sold it in 1984 to a guy in the Netherlands and though I had won the lottery, enough to buy a new Ascona 1.3 !!!! , first of the FWD’s...... boy o boy, if I had it today.
