Fire Bucket

I was clearing out the garage and found my old Fire Bucket. It's a big red bucket with FIRE on the side. Years ago when we used to go down to the show at Shepton Mallet loads of the clubs had these sitting full of water at the front of their vans. The theory was if a van went on fire there would be a few gallons of water within easy reach. I always wondered if it would have been of any use if a fire started. I carry a couple of fire extinguishers now

We still have ours somewhere. But we used to have sand in our one. I think it was more of a rally etiquette rather than a requirement, back in the day.

Old school stuff.

Full of dry sand they are a very good way of smothering liquid fires.
Best of all are the green Halon extinguishers, put any fire out quick smart.
Not ozone friendly but then how good for the environment is a burning vehicle.?
