Do these changes with data sharing between What's App and Facebook apply to the European Region?
After Cambridge Analytica, would you trust anything they say?

Some careful wording on Whatsapp's take on it.
Rant:(directed at no one in particular) for me personally, whatsapp has been deleted for ever, facebook has been deleted forever, chrome browser has been deleted forever. Gmail will be phased out and twitter has been deleted.
There is no work around for whatsapp, but there is a bit of a work around for facebook to make it safer but not safe, but only if you use a PC.
Knowing what we know about facebook (instagram/whatsapp), why would anyone use them when there are safe alternatives?
If my car brakes I take it to a mechanic.
But people/users of the internet are reluctant to listen to IT experts who are screaming for people to get of those platforms. The resistance for people not to leave them is nothing other than the "Ostrich Effect". The resistance to install an alternative to try it is baffling, your phone was made for Apps, why can some people not have two messaging apps, whatsapp and Signal, then eventually move to the safe one.

It's all a strange scenario for me, each to their own I suppose, this sums it all up what you are up against by continuing to use Zuckerbergs, Googles, twitters products.

PRIVACY ALERT: WhatsApp Will Share Your Data With Facebook
WhatsApp - which is owned by Facebook - just announced a new policy that mandates WhatsApp's 2 billion users share their data with Facebook. If WhatsApp users refuse to agree to this then they can no longer use WhatsApp.

This new policy is a complete reversal from Facebook's promise that WhatsApp data would remain "private and separate". Mark Zuckerberg breaks yet another privacy promise - and we've all had enough of these betrayals.
Remarkably, this isn't the first time that WhatsApp has violated its users' privacy. In 2017, WhatsApp was fined $122 million by the European Union for sharing member data with Facebook.

WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton has repeatedly encouraged everyone to #DeleteFacebook . It's also time to #DeleteWhatsApp .
With so much happening everywhere - let's stay connected with Trust, Safety, and Love. MeWe has a user Privacy Bill of Rights and a "poison pill" in our privacy policy to ensure your data and privacy are your absolute rights!
